What to expect…

I’ve recently made a transition into a much more active and healthy lifestyle. I’ve always been relatively healthy with regards to my diet, however, exercise has never been a consistent thing with me.

I’ve always been quite embarrassed to train hard in the gym and never really taken it seriously. Before now I didn’t even want to pick up a weight as I was too scared I’d be holding it wrong, or ‘look silly’. I’ve now come to realise that this is my journey and I’m only in here for one thing, myself! Three months in, I’m training 5-6 days a week and feel great. I’m no where near where I want to be, however, I now pick up a weight knowing although it may not be the heaviest, I am pushing myself.

I am not a nutritionist by any means, but I do know that eating healthy and exercising is one of the best and most natural ways to maintain a good body. I don’t believe in shortcuts such as drinking all of these advertised ‘flat tummy teas’ etc. In my eyes they’re all just temporary, money making mechanisms which people fall for.

So what am I really trying to achieve?

My main goal is to feel both physically and mentally fit within myself. I want to look at myself and be proud of what I see, knowing I’ve earned it. So, come along and follow my health and fitness journey, where I will be posting personal progression photos and some of my favourite recipes and exercises!
